U.S. Expands Ban on Chinese Telecom, Surveillance Equipment

Share

The U.S. FCC has expanded its ban on imports of Chinese-made telecom and surveillance equipment over national security concerns.

The restrictions now include both new and older models from companies like Huawei, ZTE, Hikvision, Dahua, and Hytera.

The equipment is widely used in areas such as public safety, government facilities, and critical infrastructure.

The move, set to take effect in early July, aims to strengthen the security of U.S. communications systems.
