Three years after a tweet reading "Disney, hit me up when you're free", South African singer Tyla has secured her acting debut with the media giant.
The 24-year-old afro-pop singer will voice a Flamingo toy in the sub-Saharan version of the multi-million-grossing animated film franchise.
Toy Story 5 hits theatres on Friday, June 19.
The news of Tyla's acting role comes ahead of the artiste's upcoming sophmore album release titled A-Pop. The project will include recent hits Chanel and She Did it Again featuring Swedish popstar Zara Larsson, and is set for a July24 drop.
