Trelawny Infirmary Residents Set to Move Into New Container Homes by Month-End

Share

Six containerised houses being prepared for residents of the Trelawny Infirmary are expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of the month.

Trelawny Municipal Corporation CEO Andrew Harrison said only minor electrical work remains before the units can be occupied.

The houses on Cornwall Street, Falmouth, will replace the former infirmary facility destroyed by Hurricane Melissa in October 2025.

About 50 residents currently staying at the Elliston Wakeland Youth Centre will be relocated once the work is complete.
