After recently launching the Cactus Jack Foundation, Travis Scott has announced a
scholarship for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HCBUs).

According to sources, Travis Scott named the Waymon Webster Scholarship after
his grandfather, who is an HBCU alumnus, and will only be exclusive to students
enrolled in those schools. The scholarship will help cover the tuition for students
who have been directly affected by the pandemic and the winners will be
handpicked by the artist.

My grandfather wanted me to take it all the way through college, I feel there is a
power in education so to be able to give someone the opportunity to fulfill that
dream as my papa thought for me is amazing”.

It was also reported that he teamed up with the Parson’s School of Design to bring
an online certification program for the city of Houston. The rapper also launched an agricultural program for elementary school students and other initiatives.
