South Africa, Jamaica and Texas, USA link up on rapper Travis Scott's music video for his recently-released hit PBT featuring king of the dancehall Vybz Kartel and afro-pop singer Tyla.
The music video sees the trio interacting against a futuristic cityscape. Fans of all three artists commended the release in the comments of the video which has gained over 2.6million views since its release. Notably, fans loved Vybz Kartel's tone switch during his verse with one comment reading "Vybz Kartel turned the song from a Romantic mood to Gangster Portmore vibe." Another comment loved the black diasporic representation writing "United state America, South Africa and Jamaica all for one. Black is the truth musically."
The dancehall/RnB track was featured on Scott's recently released Jackboys 2 album. Jamaican music influences were present throughout the project with Vybz Kartel providing a spoken intro to SHYNE, a hardcore trap track featuring Glorilla, which also sees Cactus Jack interpolating Barrington Levy's signature ad libs.
