The National Works Agency NWA is alerting motorists to a traffic change as it relates to the movement of vehicles from Garth Road onto Barbican Road in St Andrew.

Motorists are no longer permitted to turn right from Garth Road onto Barbican Road due to the completion of median barriers along the area.

Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, explains that those wishing to travel westward towards Grants Pen should preferably continue to the Birdsucker Avenue intersection and make a U-turn there.

He says motorists also have the option of going onto Russell Heights and turning around at a suitable point.

Motorists travelling from the direction of Barbican Square will be able to access Garth Road by making a U-turn at Acadia Drive.

The right-turn restriction is required for improved traffic management along the busy corridor.
