Traffic changes will be implemented in St Catherine and St James this weekend to facilitate political rallies being held by the Jamaica Labour Party JLP and the People’s National Party PNP.

In Old Harbour, St Catherine, adjustments will be made on Sunday, August 31, as the JLP stages a mass rally at the Old Harbour Roundabout. Police advise that the changes will run from 8:00 a.m. until midnight, with several road closures and traffic diversions beginning at midday.

Meanwhile, in Montego Bay, St James, traffic restrictions around Sam Sharpe Square are already in effect for the PNP’s mass rally. These changes began at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, and will remain in place until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, September 1.

Motorists are being urged to comply with the police directives during these periods.
