Dr Carey Wallace, executive director of the Tourism Enhancement Fund, says Jamaica’s tourism sector is set for growth as global travel disruptions from the Middle East conflict redirect visitors to the Caribbean.
Negril was chosen for the Tourism Linkages Network’s speed networking forum due to its strong recovery after Hurricane Melissa and high hotel occupancies.
Wallace emphasized that strengthening local supply chains helps hotels maintain consistent service and ensures more Jamaicans benefit from tourism revenues.
He added that Jamaica’s improving safety, hospitality, and stability make it an attractive destination, positioning the island to capture redirected global travel demand.
