Tory Lanez has filed a motion in California’s Central District Court seeking protection from further questioning in Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper aka Milagro Gramz.
Filed on September 24, the motion claims that additional deposition testimony, would create an undue burden, jeopardize his ongoing criminal appeal, and pose constitutional risks.
Lanez’s attorneys argue that others deposed in the case, such as DJ Akademiks and Unite The People CEO Ceasar McDowell, were not subjected to the same scrutiny.
He is asking the court to either eliminate further depositions entirely, or limit them to written questions with safeguards, to be delayed until his appeal concludes.
Megan’s lawsuit, filed last year, accuses Cooper of promoting an altered sexual image, intentional infliction of emotional distress, cyberstalking, and invasion of privacy.
