Tommy Lee just can’t catch a break.
Dancehall deejay, Leroy Russell, more popularly known as Tommy Lee Sparta is hospitalised.
Reports are that the deejay had an altercation with Department of Correctional Services (DCS) officers at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Downtown Kingston. It is unclear what led to the altercation.
He is admitted to the Kingston Public Hospital.
The entertainer was arrested in December 2020 after he was found with an illegal firearm along Holborn Road in New Kingston.
Tommy Lee Sparta was sentenced to three years in prison in the Gun Court division of the Home Circuit Court in Kingston in March 2021 for illegal possession of a firearm and two years for illegal possession of ammunition.
There is reportedly a strong police presence at the hospital now.
