There’s a High Pressure Ridge across Jamaica and the northern Caribbean.

Additionally, there is a Low-Level jet Stream across the central Caribbean.

The Met Office says this Ridge coupled with the Jet Stream will remain across the island for a couple more days. A Trough is then expected to move into the vicinity of Jamaica by late Friday.

This morning into this afternoon will be generally fair. It will also be windy mainly across southern parishes.

Tonight will be fair.

A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston and Montego Bay today is 33 degrees Celsius.
