There’s a weak High Pressure Ridge across the central Caribbean, including Jamaica.

The Met Office says this weak High Pressure Ridge will briefly linger across the island today through to early Friday.

Thereafter, a Trough is expected to move into the vicinity of the island on Friday afternoon

This morning will be partly cloudy across sections of some northern and southeastern parishes.

This afternoon expect scattered showers and thunderstorms across sections of most parishes. It will also be windy along southern parishes.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with some lingering showers and isolated thunderstorms.

A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston and Montego Bay today is 33 degrees Celsius.
