There’s a Broad Trough across the central Caribbean.

The Met Office says this Trough is associated with an area of low pressure across eastern Cuba, which is expected to linger across the region through to Friday.

On Saturday afternoon, a Tropical Wave is then expected to move across Jamaica.

This morning will be generally cloudy, with possible showers across sections of eastern parishes..

This afternoon expect scattered showers and thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.

Tonight will be generally cloudy, with lingering showers expected mainly across sections of southern parishes.

A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the south coast, due to strong winds and rough seas in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston today is 33 degrees Celsius, Montego Bay 34 degrees Celsius.
