Three men from the Buffy Bay Lock up have been charged for the murder of another inmate, Patrick Perry, 57-year-old, of Long Bay, Portland who succumbed to injuries on Sunday, September 29.
They are: 22-year-old Malik Lewis, and 28-year-old Nicardo Buckley both of White River District, Buff Bay, Portland and 19-year-old Xavier Harriot of Baker Street, Buff Bay, Portland.
Reports from the Buff Bay Police are that Perry was in lock-up when an altercation occurred between him and the other inmates. Perry was later found unresponsive and taken to the hospital.
He was admitted in serious condition and later succumbed to injuries.
Further investigations led to the men being charged whilst in custody.
Their court date is being finalised.
