The official calendar of events for the 2022 carnival season has been released by the Carnival in Jamaica National Stakeholders Committee.
Hard Wine, Bacchanal Rum for Breakfast, and Soca Vs Dancehall are among the pre-events that will take place from June 24-26, culminating in the grand carnival road march on July 10.
Carnival in Jamaica began in 2017 and serves as the umbrella brand for all carnival-related activities throughout the year. Carnival in Jamaica will return to its traditional April staging in 2023.
