The National Football League (NFL) sent a memo to teams on Monday requiring their staff members to receive a vaccine booster amid a COVID-19 outbreak.

Thirty-six NFL Players – 25 on active rosters and 11 on practice squads were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday as a result of positive tests. It is the largest number of additions to the list since its creation in 2020.

Following the rash of positive tests, the NFL is mandating that all Tier 1 and 2 personnel “who have previously been vaccinated and are eligible under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, must receive a booster shot” by Dec. 27.
