Vybz Kartel's charity foundation, the Adidjah Palmer Foundation, took to Instagram on Thursday to report on and warn supporters looking to aid their Hurricane Melissa relief initiatives against scammers.
The post took the form of an official statement that clarified that all donations and organised relief thus far has happened without soliciting the help of the public saying that this was "to ensure that all monetary and physical contributions could be managed with the utmost integrity and accountability."
The Foundation announced that social media accounts claiming to be associated with the foundation headed by the 'Worl Boss' have been established "falsely claiming to solicit funds for victims of Hurricane Melissa," even going as far as to "employ official footage and likeness to deceive individuals who genuinely wish to offer assistance."
They go on to caution people to use extreme vigilance to avoid scams and urged only seeking Adidjah Palmer Foundation updates directly from the Instagram of Vybz Kartel and news from reputable sources, ending their statement with “By exercising vigilance and conducting thorough due diligence, you can ensure that your contributions effectively reach those who are truly in need.”
