Popular TV show That’s So Raven’s Rondell Sheridan, who played Raven-Symone’s father, has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. In an emotional video posted to Instagram, he announced the diagnosis and asked for support from fans.
Sheridan shared that he had been hospitalised with what doctors’ thought was gastric, but a few days later, the diagnosis was confirmed to be pancreatitis. This condition causes inflammation in the pancreas. At the time of the video being posted, the actor had been hospitalised for 9 days, as doctors monitored him.
In a bid for support amidst mounting medical bills and his acting career paused indefinitely, the 66-year-old launched a GoFundMe and asked fans for support. Comments called on his former Disney co-stars for support. The GoFundMe, which had an original goal of $35000 USD, has raised over $50000. The $7000 top donation came from comedians and former Disney star Kenan Thompson.
