Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert finalized their divorce in June 2024, but tensions remain after their settlement leaked.
The singer and actress accused Shumpert of exposing the private documents but denied trying to have him jailed.
During her Instagram live yesterday (March 19), the “Morning” singer stated “I never tried to send Iman to jail. I’m still not trying to send Iman to jail but I had to file a motion to get him to leave me alone so we can both move on in peace.”
She also addressed speculation that she financially benefited from the split, clarifying she left the marriage with what she came with. Despite their rocky divorce, Taylor emphasized she wants to move on peacefully and has no intention of rekindling their relationship.“People love the idea of what we looked like together, but I lived it,” she said. “I love him, I respect him, but I am moving on.”
