Dancehall artiste Teejay has been drifting his way even more onto the international scene, and this morning was no different.
The “People” singer was featured this morning on Fox 5 New York’s Good Day New York.
The hosts of the programme, Rosanna Scotto and Curt Menefee, hailed him as “Dancehall’s leader of the new school.”
The Uptop Boss performed a medley of his hit single “Drift” as well as one of his latest songs called “Dip.”
In the interview, Teejay spoke about his history in music and his mentorship with Shaggy, who is also the co-executive producer for his new EP called “Chippy”.
He then explained the meaning of his name, “Chippy.” He said he got his name due to his mode of dress. He then gave the TV anchors an impromptu class on how to “Drift”.
