Detectives in the Trelawny Police Division have charged a 34-year-old teacher, following a reported altercation that left a man injured.
Charged with unlawful wounding is Geovanni Johnson of Stettin district, Albert Town in Trelawny.
According to the Falmouth police, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Reports indicate that a man was at a bar socializing among a group when Johnson entered the premises.
An argument reportedly developed between the two men, which escalated into a physical confrontation.
During the altercation, Johnson allegedly used an object to strike the complainant on the right side of his head, causing a bleeding wound.
The injured man later filed a report with the police, leading to Johnson’s arrest and subsequent charge. A court date is currently being arranged.
