The Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) has promised to organize sessions with the police and relevant stakeholders to find ways to combat, what appears to be the growing trend of abductions.

On Monday, three women were abducted and robbed at different locations in Kingston.

They were dropped off in the vicinity of the University Hospital of the West Indies yesterday.

In acknowledging reports that the women were last seen in a licensed taxi, TODSS President, Edgeton Newman says the organization is concerned that the abductions have placed the transport sector, especially the taxi service, in disrepute.

Mr. Newman says a meeting with the police and relevant groups is being planned to see how the issue can be addressed.
