Reggae icon Tarrus Riley has revealed that he once planned to step away from music.
Speaking in a recent interview with local media, Riley said he briefly lost interest in making music because he never cared for fame or the spotlight, describing himself as someone who values privacy.
He said his passion for music was reignited through the guidance of legendary producer Dean Fraser, who helped steer him back to his career.
His breakthrough album Parables helped establish Tarrus Riley as one of reggae's leading voices, featuring songs such as Beware, Lion Paw, Stay With You, and She's Royal.
She's Royal" has amassed more than 150 million views on YouTube, remaining a fan favourite nearly two decades after its release.
