Swiss Judiciary Drops Ticket Scalping Case Against Jérôme Valcke

Share

After nine years of investigations, the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Swiss Confederation has archived the proceedings against Jérôme Valcke, former Secretary General of FIFA, accused of participating in a ticket resale scheme for World Cups.

The case against French journalist and sports executive Valcke, who held one of the highest positions in the governing body of world football from June 27, 2007 to September 17, 2015, appears to have a happy ending for the former FIFA executive.

The case, opened in November 2015, concluded without formal charges after nine years of investigations.

Valcke had been accused of among other things, mismanagement and abuse of trust, as well as the destruction of data related to his functions at FIFA.
