An alleged member of the Clansman Gang, believed by police to be behind the Cherry Tree Lane massacre in Clarendon this past August, was fatally shot by police yesterday (Friday).

The deceased, identified as Kennrick Campbell, also known as "Wormy," was linked to the Cherry Tree Lane shooting, which left eight people dead, including a young boy, and injured several others.

After investigations, police arrested multiple suspects. Another suspect, Steve Smith, also known as "Thicka," was also killed in a police confrontation in August.

Acting Assistant Commissioner Christopher Phillips, head of Area 5 Police, stated that Campbell's death is a major step forward in efforts to dismantle gangs.
