The Bustamante Hospital for Children BHC in Kingston, has begun outsourcing its services to the nearby Nuttall Memorial Hospital.
The BHC’s Chief Executive Officer Anthony Wood made the revelation yesterday (Mon).
The move follows the disruption of surgical services due to a power surge last week.
The surge resulted in elective surgical procedures being cancelled and only urgent and emergency surgeries being accommodated.
A technical team is working to resolve the issue and restore full functionality to affected operating theatres.
