Dancehall pioneer Super Cat strode into the Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday, promising a “short circuit” of a show, as 2026 Barbados Reggae Weekend headliners began arriving on the island hours apart.
The iconic artiste, known for his energetic performances and enduring influence on the genre, said he was ready to deliver a memorable show for fans.
His appearance is expected to be a major highlight of the event.
The Barbados Reggae Weekend 2026 runs from April 24 to 26 at Kensington Oval, promising a vibrant showcase of reggae and dancehall talent. Opening night, Legends of Reggae Show and Dance, will feature performances from Barrington Levy, Norris Man, Sister Nancy and Super Cat.
The energy continues on April 25 with the Guinness Showdown, headlined by Capleton, General Degree and Popcaan.
The weekend closes with Reggae in the Gardens on April 26, featuring Dexta Daps, D’Yani, Kranium, Admiral Tibet, and Grammy-winning vocalist Fantasia.
