Reports are that the latest lockdown measures in the UK to curtail the spike in COVID-19 numbers could result in the postponement of the Sunshine Girls’ three test tour of England in December.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that new lockdown measures would take effect from Thursday, November 5 until Wednesday, December 2.
It was thought that the additional announcement that elite sports would be allowed to continue during the 4 week lockdown meant the series would not be negatively impacted
However, the three-match series between the fourth-ranked Sunshine Girls and the third ranked England scheduled for December 1-6 in London is understood to be on the verge of being postponed due to logistical reasons associated with the lockdown.
