SUNSHINE GIRLS PLAY THIRD AND FINAL MATCH AGAINST THE TRINIS TONIGHT

Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls took an unassailable 2-nil lead over the Trinidad and Tobago Calypso Girls, in the Margaret Beckford Netball Series at the National Indoor Sports Center last night (Tues).

Despite an improved performance by the Trinidadians from Saturday’s first game, the Sunshine Girls were once again comfortable, as they ran out 64-32 winners in game 2.

The Jamaicans led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, 24-14 at halftime and 44-22 at the end of the third quarter.

Once again Sunshine Girls Captain Jhaniele Fowler starred the show, as she scored 36 goals from 38 attempts.

The third and final match against the Trinis, will be contested this evening (Wed).
