Organizers of the Strictly 2K Throwback Music Festival have announced a J$1,000 discount on General Admission tickets for public sector workers, reducing the ticket price from J$7,000 to J$6,000. This discount will be available on December 18 to 19 at selected outlets in Kingston and St. Catherine. Strictly 2K, is scheduled for Saturday December 27 at Mass Camp.
The offer is part of the festival’s effort to assist with the recovery following Hurricane Melissa and to address the Government's decision to cancel Christmas parties for ministries, departments, and agencies. The information was shared in a recent press release from the event organizers.
Additionally, the press release revealed that proceeds from the festival will go towards hurricane relief and educational initiatives in Western Jamaica. Ibrahim Konteh, Director of Communications for the festival, emphasized the importance of the annual event, in promoting economic revitalization through music and community engagement.
The festival organizers also acknowledged the leadership of the KSAMC for their ongoing support in helping the entertainment sector recover.
As part of the continued support, the KSAMC will offer a 20% discount on event structure fees from December 2025 to January 2026, further assisting promoters, vendors, and performers affected by the hurricane.
