A St Catherine Parish Court judge has granted $700,000 bail to Chad Campbell, who is charged with the murder of his nephew, Lamar Mullings, following a dispute over the volume of a television during a World Cup football match.

Campbell's attorney argued that self-defence is a key issue in the case and that his client has a suitable place to relocate.

As part of his bail conditions, Campbell must stay away from Ewarton and have no contact with witnesses.

Prosecutors allege Mullings was fatally stabbed during a physical altercation at Campbell's home on June 17.
