The St Ann police have expressed concern about the growing number of road fatalities, and are urging road users to be more careful.

Head of the division Senior Superintendent, Dwight Powell said too many people are dying on the streets, some due to their own carelessness.

He reported that 18 fatalities were recorded, to date, compared to 15 in the similar period for last year.

SSP Powell said speeding and improper overtaking were the main contributing factors to accidents.
