Share

Mayor of St. Ann's Bay, Michael Belnavis is welcoming this year's staging Reggae Sumfest to the parish, calling Ocho Rios the 'Party capital of Jamaica.

Mayor Belnavis is particularly excited about the benefits for the tourism and business sectors across the parish.

Organisers of Reggae Sumfest had announced a 'one-night only' staging at Plantation Cove, under the banner of Gaza vs. Gully set for July 18; a shift from the usual one-week festival held in Montego Bay, St. James.

He says the parish is ready to accommodate guests as hotels which were affected by hurricane Melissa, will be up and running in time to host major festivals.
