Twenty-eight-year-old Renardo Simmonds, chef of Pimento Walk in St. Ann has been charged with Assault at Common-Law and Illegal Possession of Firearm following an incident in his community Sunday, December 12.
Reports are that about 11:20 p.m., Simmonds and a woman got into an argument during which he pointed a firearm at the woman and threatened to shoot her. The matter was reported to the police and an investigation launched.
On Monday, December 13, Simmonds was arrested and charged after an interview in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
