Dancehall artiste Squash, whose real name is Andre Whittaker, has been arrested in Florida on multiple gun-related charges.
Reports state that he was taken into custody early Tuesday and is currently being held at the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a circulated police report, the “Big Breeze” singer has been charged with possession of a machine gun, a short-barrel shotgun, and a rifle. Additionally, he faces charges for carrying a concealed weapon. His bond is set at 3000 USD.
Complicating his legal situation, an immigration hold has been placed on him, meaning that even if bond is paid, he may not be released. This development follows his 2023 arrest in Florida for overstaying his work visa, which had already put him at risk of deportation.
