The self-proclaimed Queen of the Dancehall, Spice, is urging eligible voters to vote for her debut album “10” for Best Reggae Album.
In the 36 years since the first Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album was given out, only four females have been nominated.
If Spice receives a nomination when they are announced on November 23, she will join Koffee, the first and only female to win in the category with her Rapture EP due out in 2020, Rita Marley, who was nominated for We Must Carry On in 1992, Sister Carol for Lyrically Potent in 1997, and Etana for Reggae Forever in 2019.
