American rapper, Soulja Boy was released yesterday (August 5) after California prosecutors declined to press charges due to lack of evidence. The "Crank Dat" rapper was arrested two days earlier when LAPD found a gun in a car he was riding in, both he and the driver denied ownership. The rapper now faces a $4.25 million judgment in a sexual battery case brought by a former assistant, plus $250,000 in punitive damages. Soulja Boy called the verdict disappointing and claimed it was not based on facts. Despite legal troubles, he recently performed with Bow Wow at SeaWorld.
