Skip Marley Released New Song Titled ‘Close’

Skip Marley has released a new single titled Close, marking his debut under Tuff Gong International and Def Jam Recordings.

The song, accompanied by a music video, pays homage to Maxi Priest’s classic track 'Close To You'.

Marley described the song as both nostalgic and forward-thinking, celebrating Priest’s original, while engaging a fresh audience.

Originally released in 1990, 'Close To You' by Maxi Priest was a major success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning Gold certification in the US, Sweden, and Australia.

Recently, Priest joined Marley on Instagram to promote the new release.

Meanwhile In related news........Skip Marley is slated to make an appearance at this weekend's Marcia Griffiths & Friends Concert at Hope Gardens in Kingston.

Griffiths will be celebrating her 60th year in reggae, with a star-studded showcase which will see acts such as Shaggy, Busy Signal, Tanya Stephens, Tessanne Chin and more.
