Sizzla’s Youth Foundation to Receive Humanitarian Award at 2025 Caribbean Music Awards

The Caribbean Elite Group has announced new additions to the list of honorees for the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, set to take place on August 28 at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.

Reggae artist Sizzla’s Youth Foundation will receive the Humanitarian Award for its impactful work in youth development, education, and community support through music and outreach initiatives.

Legendary Haitian Konpa band Carimi will be honored with the Legacy Award, recognizing their influential role in shaping modern Haitian music. Meanwhile, Shirley Ann Cyril-Mayers, hailed as the “Queen of Gospel” in St. Lucia, will be presented with the Gospel Honors for her contributions to Caribbean gospel music.

These honorees join an impressive lineup that includes Bounty Killer who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, Super Blue (Soca Pioneer Award), and Kerwin Du Bois (Producer Honors), celebrating their enduring influence on Caribbean music and culture.

The third annual event will spotlight over 200 nominees across 40 categories.
