After pulling out of Trinidad’s One Music Festival last weekend, reggae icon Sizzla is making it up to fans with a surprise unplugged pop-up show.
The fallout from the One Caribbean Festival, which saw Sizzla, dancehall star Vybz Kartel, and Ghanaian-American singer Moliy all withdraw due to financial and communication issues, left many disappointed. But Sizzla’s team, still on the island, took to social media to ask fans if they’d be interested in a stripped-down performance. The response was swift. Soca star Bunji Garlin showed his support, saying, “The man said he’s not leaving T&T without giving a show and blessing.”
He later confirmed the date and venue: the unplugged show will take place this Saturday, June 7, at Sound Forge, Mucurapo Road, St. James, Port of Spain.
