The Education Ministry has sought to assure parents who are worried about the cost associated with sending their children to school for 6th form, that financial support will be provided.

Chief Education Officer, Dr. Kasan Troupe said about 1.5 billion dollars has been allocated to fund grants for students.

She added that the Ministry will provide support, by way of staffing and materials.

Dr. Troupe pointed out that come September 2022, the non-mandatory fee policy will apply to the 6th Form Pathway Programme.

Students on the Programme of Advancement through Health and Education (PATH) will be exempted from paying fees.
