Dancehall legend Sister Nancy has earned a UK Gold certification for her classic hit Bam Bam after surpassing 400,000 sales in the United Kingdom.
The song, originally released in 1982 on her album One, Two, was certified Silver in 2022 before reaching the new milestone this week.
“Bam Bam” remains one of the most sampled reggae songs ever, appearing in films, TV series, video games, and tracks by major international artistes.
The timeless anthem has been sampled in songs by Jay-Z, Rihanna, Lauryn Hill and Kanye West, among many others.
