British rock star Sir Mick Jagger gave fans an insight into his most recent holiday in Portland yesterday (Fri) as the rocker took to Instagram to share some snaps from his travels to the island.

The 78 year old, lead vocalist of legendary rock group Rolling Stones could be seen standing with his guitar with palm trees and lush green vegetation behind him with the Caribbean sea in the distance.

He captioned his post: ‘A little downtime before things get busy!’

In another picture, Sir Mick stood against a mural while in another he stood alongside a woman who was selling local fresh produce.

No stranger to the island and our culture, Jagger and the Rolling Stones recorded their 1973 album, Goats Head Soup, at Dynamic Sounds studio in Kingston. They also covered the 1971 Festival Song winner Cherry Oh Baby by Eric Donaldson for their 1976 album Black And Blue.

Jagger attended the One Love peace concert at the National Stadium in Kingston in 1978.
