Ryan Coogler's wildly popular vampire movie, Sinners, starring Michael B Jordan, Miles Caton, Hailee Steinfeld and Delroy Lindo is now the most nominated film in the history of the Academy Awards.
With a whopping 16 nominations, the film beats out classics like 1997's Titanic, 2016's La La Land and 1950's All About Eve, which all previously held the record of 14 nominations each. Sinners' nominations have been awarded across performance and technical categories, most notably Best Picture, Best Actor for Michael B Jordan, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler, Best Original Song for I Lied To You and Best Supporting Actor and Actress for Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Osaku respectively.
Represented in four out of five of the most prestigious Oscar categories, widely-known as the Big Five (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay), Sinners goes up against other 2025 favourite films One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme and Sentimental Value.
The awards will take place on March 15 and is to be hosted by Conan O'Brien.
