A 6-month old child was shot and killed and three persons wounded in St. James on Saturday. The child has been identified as Tyra Thompson.
Police say that about 8:30pm, patrons were at a bar when a motorcar with men aboard approached them.
The men alighted from the vehicle armed with guns. The gunmen opened fire on the patrons and a nearby house before escaping.
The Police were called and the child and three other persons were taken to hospital. Tyra was pronounced dead, two of the wounded persons were admitted in serious condition while the other was treated and released.
The Montego Bay police are investigating.
