Dancehall princess Shenseea secured her second MOBO Award, winning Best Caribbean Music Act at the 2025 ceremony in the United Kingdom earlier today (February 18).
The “Blessed” singer” triumphed over Spice, Popcaan, YG Marley, Valiant, and Skillibeng.
The event is set to take place at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle.
As covered yesterday by the Zee, dancehall icon Vybz Kartel was also honoured with the Impact Award for his contributions to the genre.
The MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards, established by Kanya King and Andy Ruffell, celebrate achievements in music genres of Black origin, including hip-hop, reggae, grime, UK drill, Afrobeats, R&B, and gospel.
Shenseea previously won Best Reggae Act at the 2021 MOBO Awards, making history as the first female to claim the title since its introduction in 1996.
In 2022, the category was rebranded as Best Caribbean Music Act to better represent the region’s diverse sounds.
