Shenseea Sets Her Sights On Grammy’s

Shenseea is aiming for one of music's most prestigious awards: a Grammy. In a recent appearance on “The Really Good Podcast” with American influencer Bobbi Althoff, she expressed her ambitions. Her sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here, is among 75 projects submitted for consideration in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category at the upcoming 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

In addition to her album, several of her singles have been submitted for various categories:

“Flava” featuring Coi Leray has been submitted for ‘Record Of The Year,’ ‘Song Of The Year,’ and ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance.’

“Work Me Out” featuring Wizkid is up for ‘Best African Music Performance.’

Her cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry,” included in the Bob Marley: One Love – Music Inspired by the Film album, has been submitted for ‘Best Global Music Performance.’ Notably, this album is also competing for ‘Best Reggae Album.’

First-round voting concludes on October 15, with nominations set to be announced on November 8. Shenseea's aspirations and multiple submissions highlight her growing influence in the music industry.
