In a recent episode of ‘Odyssey with Yendi’, Shenseea opened up about how she has been coping with the loss of her mom and also on her humble beginnings.
Shenseea says she wasn’t sure if her career could go on after she suffered the
devastating loss of her mother in June.

The ‘Lighter’ songstress has been vocal about her struggles with coping with the
loss and went in-depth about her feelings. “I told myself that I was going to speak on it the other day but the thing is with me is like I don’t know if I’m dealing with it right, I’ve never lost anybody close to me before, never,” she went on to say, “Is like God taught mi a lesson in the loss, don’t take nothing fi granted, nuh tek nothing fi nobody fi granted, nuh tek nuh time fi granted. Nothing at all”.

Shenseea also recalls her upbringing with going back and forth to Kingston and St
Elizabeth where she was born and also helping her grandma with her family’s farm
where they cultivated a number of crops from gungo peas, okra, and pimento to
cannabis and even helping to feed the pigs.
