Dancehall artiste Shenseea lights up Las Vegas music festival Coachella weekend two with afrobeats artiste Davido.
The Shenyeng Anthen singer was brought out on stage to perform an R&B song, her and Davido's collab, which dropped last year on his fifth studio album, 5ive.
The Coachella 2026 weekend 2 performance feature is Shenseea's second, following her solo moment in 2023, which saw her bring out rapper Coi Leray and Latin artist Tokischa. The dancehall songstress is a part of a small group of Jamaican artistes to have graced the stage at the popular US music festival, including Jimmy Cliff, Damian Marley, Sean Paul, Protoje and Koffee.
Dancehall artiste Sean Paul also made an appearance at this year's staging of the Desert Festival, his second since his appearance in 2023, as a headliner on the Heineken stage. The performance sparked controversy as fans protested the veteran deejay not having a main stage spot, with the venue reportedly not being able to hold the amount of fans who wanted to watch his set. Following the incident, clips went viral across social media of large crowds outside the packed venue singing along to his iconic repertoire of songs.
A staple event for much of the world, Coachella this year aligned with Jamaica carnival season, with weekend one of the festival being hosted on the same weekend as Jamaica Road March. In an interview with Jamaican media, Shenseea spoke about skipping the Las Vegas event to "party with her people".
