Reggae singer-songwriter and three-time Grammy Award winner Sharon Marley, daughter of the legendary Bob and Rita Marley, will release her highly anticipated new single, “Island,” this Friday.
The track, featuring Sharon alongside her sister Cedella Marley and Rica Newell, former members of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, is the second single from her debut solo album, “Firebird,” set to drop March 20, 2026.
“Island” is a roots-driven reggae anthem celebrating unity, womanhood, and love for Jamaica.
In keeping with Sharon’s commitment to giving back, all streaming proceeds from “Island” will be donated to Humanity Ova Vanity (HOV), a Canadian-based organization that provides emergency relief, housing stabilization, and long-term community support in under-served and disaster-affected areas of Jamaica.
“Island” follows Sharon’s first single from the “Firebird” album, “Steppah,” featuring reggae legend Big Youth.
